Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens
Home to over 250 species from around the world, you'll see giraffe, giant tortoise, meerkat, penguin, white rhino, zebra and many more!
Set in 160 acres of parkland, Cotswold Wildlife Park has a staggeringly diverse collection of species, many of which are endangered in the wild. There's lots to see and do (including becoming a park keeper for the day).
Don't miss out on the Giraffe Walkway, where you'll stroll at eye-level with these elegant creatures; and the rhino paddock overlooking the manor house.
If you fancy some splashing about, head over to the penguin pool for some fun and games (and watch them play, feed and bask in the sun!); and see one of the UK's largest reptile collections, where the green anaconda (one of the largest snakes in the world) lives. (Don't forget the lemurs, either.) That's just a taste of the park, where you'll also learn lots about vital conservation work.
There is a narrow gauge railway (running from April to October), playground area, and themed gardens. Look out for the timetable of activities, which also detail animal feeding times.
The Oak Tree restaurant serves hot and cold food.
The park is generally open daily, but see website for seasonal hours.
